SRINAGAR: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) led by its Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday visited the residence of party’s vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakhshi who was on Wednesdayreleased from a five-month-long incarceration.
As per a statement issued here, Malik visited Bakshi’s residence and applauded him for his resilience.
The party also expressed grief over the demise of Ali Muhammad Yatoo of Palhalan, Pattan who is the father of JKLF activist Abdul Rehman Yatoo while condoling the demise of the mother of President Bewpaar Mandal, Sopore, Haji Muhammad Ashraf Ganaie and JKLF well-wisher Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Trehgam, Kupwara.
A JKLF delegation visited the residences of both the deceased and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families, the statement said.
Meanwhile, JKLF chairman has strongly condemned the police “atrocities” on party activist in Mala Shahi Bagh. “Police station Nagbal led by SHO raided the residence of Abdul Rashid and ordered him to present himself for arrestwithin 24 hours and in case he fails to do so his residence will be vandalized by police,” the statement alleged.
“This Policegiri is an Israeli type oppressive tactic. Police is trying to prove itself more loyal than the king and is unleashing worst oppression on peaceful political activists. This is highly condemnable,” Malik, according to statement said.
