JAMMU: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, Governor N N Vohra, Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh, and others have greeted people on the occasion of Losar.
In her felicitation message, the Chief Minister hoped the festival, which represents the age-old Ladakhi tradition of love, harmony and affection, would be a harbinger of communal harmony, peace and brotherhood in the State.
Governor in his felicitation message observed that the festival of Losar symbolizes the high traditions of love, tolerance, amity, communal harmony and brotherhood, which the people of Ladakh have cherished and nurtured over the centuries.
He wished the people a Happy Losar and prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his greetings message, the Deputy Chief Minister hoped the festival would usher peace, prosperity and harmony in the State. He said the festival which represents the tradition of love and affection would have a similar affect on the people of the State.
Minister for Cooperatives and Ladakh Affairs, Chering Dorjey, has extended warm greetings to the people of Ladakh on the auspicious occasion of Ladakhi New Year, Losar. In his message of felicitation, Dorjey hoped that the people would celebrate this festival with traditional splendor and religious fervor.
“Let us rededicate ourselves to spread the message of love, affection and brotherhood among all in the New Year,” he said.
The Minister extended greetings particularly to Ladakh Scouts, Paramilitary Forces and Students.
