Kashmir: At least 60 injured as protesters torch DC’s office

Srinagar: At least 60 people were injured after clashes broke out in south Kashmir’s Shopian district this morning with protesters setting ablaze a deputy commissioner’s office.
People in Penjoora village of Shopian tried to take out a pro-freedom rally which was stopped by the police, leading to clashes, reports said.
The protesters also set afire the mini-secretariat building, housing the deputy commissioner’s office in the area.
The government forces resorted to baton charge and tear-gas shelling to disperse the protesters.
