Srinagar: At least six persons including two women were injured after government forces fired tear smoke shells and pellet on protesters at Baharabad Hajin in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Friday.
Eyewitnesses told Kashmir Reader that soon after Friday prayers, people including women assembled at main road Baharabad and raised pro-Burhan, Pro Azadi slogans
In the meantime, a team of police and CRPF reached the spot and fired several rounds of tear smoke shells and pellets without any warning to the protesters. Six persons including two women were injured, they said. The youth among the protesters later pelted stones at the joint team, leading to clashes which were going on when the report was filled.
