Srinagar: At least 10 people sustained injuries during clashes that erupted in Bogam village in Kulgam after the government forces tried to foil the pro-freedom rally.
At around 9 am , witnesses said a huge contingent of forces reached near the rally venue and resorted to teargas shelling and pellet firing to disperse the people who were making preparations for the show. However witnesses said that the youth resisted the police action and hurled stones forcing them to flee the spot. Later around thirty thousand people attended the rally. At least ten people were injured during the clashes out of whom three youth who were hit by pellets in eyes were referred to Srinagar.
