SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, on Saturday met governor, N N Vohra, at the Raj Bhavan here.
“In an hour-long meeting, the governor and chief minister discussed various important matters relating to the urgent restoration of peace and normalcy in the state,” an official spokesman said.
Meanwhile, S N Shrivastava, additional director general of CRPF, also met Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
Shrivastava briefed the governor about the CRPF’s role and responsibility in the “maintenance of internal security” in the state, the spokesman said.
“The governor expressed concern and stressed the crucial importance of security forces exercising restraint in dealing with arising situation,” he said.
The governor, who is chairman of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, thanked Shrivastava for CRPF’s “valuable contribution” in the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2016.
