SRINAGAR: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba on Monday clarified that they have nothing to do with the people who ask for money in their name.
In a statement issued today, the LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Gaznavi while quoting the chief commander of the outfit Mehmood Shah said: “Some miscreants are playing into hands of agencies and are creating confusion.”
“We warn such people to refrain from indulging in such tactics and stop looting people. It is unfortunate that a few miscreants at this crucial juncture are hell bent upon maligning the image of the outfit. If they don’t mend their ways they will have to pay for it,” the LeT Chief said. He also asked the people if any such person comes to collect money from them they should treat them the same way as they treat “thieves and traitors.”
