Mehooba praises women staffers for attending office at secretariat

SRINAGAR: Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti Friday praised the women staffers of the civil secretariat for arriving at their work places regularly despite facing difficulties due to the prevailing law and order situation in Valley.
The Chief Minister enquired from the women staff about any difficulties being faced by them so that same could be taken care of. “I am always accessible and doors of my office will remain open for you,” she said, while assuring the women staffers of her support in mitigating their problems.
The Chief Minister said she would like all in the government to be proactive and innovative and find practical and implementable solutions to the people’s problems instead of resorting to the hackneyed approach. Urging the Government officials to be more considerate in their approach, the Chief Minister said the officials should know that even a casual noting on a file by them can make or break a common man’s life. “They should take great care while handling files.  They should know that one day they will also have to visit government offices for such matters that touch their everyday life,” she said and added the State Government would take due care of the career aspirations of the meritorious and hard-working employees.
On the request of the female employees, the Chief Minister issued directions for arranging transport facility and suitable accommodation for them. The women staffers expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister for her kind gesture.
Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Navin Kumar Choudhary was also present during the interaction.
