SRINAGAR: The government had made transport arrangements for the students appearing in the Common Entrance Test (CET) being held on Sunday.
According to deputy commissioner, Budgam, the candidates appearing in CET would be provided transport facility on the day of examination.
“The aspirants appearing in the CET on July 31, 2016, may contact additional deputy commissioner, Budgam, by or before July 30 2 pm so that requisite arrangements of transport may be made for them up to the concerned centers,” an official spokesman said.
The candidates shall have to report in the office of the deputy commissioner, Budgam, at 5.30 am on Sunday for proceeding to their respective examination centers, he said.
For the candidates from Shopian district, “adequate transport facility” has been put in place by the district administration, he said.
“As such the students appearing for the said examination are asked to contact district administration on telephone numbers 01933-260979, 01933-260986 and 9419857818.
“The aspirants shall report to deputy commissioner’s official residence located at Batapora Crossing, Shopian, at 3:30 am on Sunday,” he added.
The candidates from Anantnag have been asked to reach the Government Degree College (Boys) by 4:30 am to avail the transport facility.
“For this purpose, the candidates may contact the nodal officer, Jan Mubarik, district informatics officer, Anantnag, on 01932223539 and 9906593841. In addition, they may also contact Aishfeen Ali Khan, BDO, Qazigund, (9622631172), Tariq Ahmad Veeray, AEE, RDD Anantnag, (9419042173) Humayun Deva (9419502864),” he said.
The candidates who have not downloaded their hall tickets for the test may approach NIC, Anantnag, for the purpose, he said.
District Administration Pulwama has also made arrangements for the aspirants appearing in the test.
“The vehicles will be available at Pulwama, Awantipora and Tral. The vehicles shall be available at DC Office Pulwama, Bus Adda Awantipora and Sub-District Hospital Ground, Tral, which shall leave at 5.30 am from their respective locations to Srinagar. The vehicles shall also drop back the candidates after the examinations are over,” the spokesman said.
“For any assistance, the candidates boarding from DC office may contact ARTO Pulwama on 9419258172 and Tehsildar Pulwama on 9419050198. The candidates boarding from Awantipora may contact Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Pulwama on 9419000806 and those boarding from Tral may contact SDM Tral on 9419001388,” he added.
Meanwhile, all the students from Jammu division who have opted for centers at Kashmir for the examination have been asked to contact additional commissioner, Kashmir, on 9419000285 phone number in case they face any difficulty in staying at Kashmir and reaching to their examination centers.
“Admit cards issued by the JKBOPEE shall be treated as curfew passes,” the spokesman said.
