Kashmir: Mirwaiz salutes dedication of medical fraternity

Srinagar: Huriyat Conference (M) chairman aabd patron of Darul Khair, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has thanked the doctors, paramedical staff, ambulance drivers and all those associated in providing assistance to victims of `state oppression’ in the current agitation for their dedication.

In a statement, Mirwaiz said that the role of all these people is highly appreciable and the people of Kashmir are obliged to them for their dedication and tireless service.

Mirwaiz directed the workers and cadre of Jammu Kashmir Awami Action Committee (AAC) to lend as much help as possible to the affected people and their families.

Darul Khair, Mirwaiz Manzil and AAC activists have been working tirelessly in various hospitals especially in SKIMS and SMHS and in affected areas by setting up medical and relief camps to help the injured, their attendants and the needy by providing essential items including food, medicines and cash to them. The affected people appreciated the role and assistance provided by Darul Khair Mirwaiz Manzil, AAC workers and all other social, religious and charitable organizations who are currently providing help.

Meanwhile, Mirwaiz Farooq thanked all religious, social and charitable organizations including members of the Sikh community, who are working tirelessly in a humanitarian and religious spirit to help the affected people. Appealing all people to come forward and help the affected and needy and show solidarity with them, the Mirwaiz said this was necessary for meeting the challenges that people are facing in these difficult circumstances.
