Srinagar: Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said on Friday that Mehbooba Mufti had been assigned the job of ‘Rudali’ by her masters in Delhi. Geelani was referring to images of Mehbooba Mufti crying at the legislators’ meet that she chaired on Thursday in Srinagar. Geelani said that the “puppet CM’s crocodile tears” will fool nobody and offer no solace to the families of those killed, blinded and maimed by her government.
“The puppet CM’s crocodile tears cannot wash away the blood of innocent Kashmiris from her hands. She is condoling those who were killed by none else than herself,” Geelani said in a statement issued by his office on Friday. Commenting on the visit of Mehbooba Mufti to Islamabad (Anantnag) where she called the families of two martyrs at the government rest house, Geelani said that “Kashmiris are surprised as to how these killers dare to call the family members just to rub salt on their wounds.”
“They have no conscience whatsoever to at least punish the culprits, but they have sold everything, even their faith, for petty interests and power,” Geelani said. “Kashmiris want to ask the so-called CM that only last month when eight CRPF men were killed, you felt ashamed to be a Muslim, but today your own forces martyred 50 innocent young Kashmiris, injured more than 3,500 people, blinded more than 200, including minor kids, and you are not ashamed of anything? Is your loyalty to India dearer than your faith? If you had even a fraction of conscience left in you, you should have resigned from that post where you need to kill your own people who voted for you.”
Geelani said that the J&K chief minister had been assigned the job of ‘Rudali’ by her masters in Delhi. He said that demonstrations in solidarity with Kashmiris have been held in India in Chennai, Bengal, Calcutta and Delhi, which shows that even people living far from us feel our pain and stand by the just cause. “It is highly appreciable that they support us on humanitarian grounds while these local collaborators, who beg for votes, hardly care. The blood of innocents, broken legs of common people, and blind eyes of kids fail to soften their stony hearts.”
Geelani lauded the people of border areas of Gurez, Karnah and Ladakh for protesting against the atrocities and killing of Kashmiris. He advised people to be vigilant against the ill designs of the enemy who is not only cruel but a hypocrite as well.
The Hurriyat (G) chairman condemned the fresh arrests and house arrests of pro-freedom leaders and activists including Mohammad Yasin Malik, Mohammad Ashraf Sehraies, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Peer Saifullah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Mehraj-ud-din, Mohammad Ashraf Laya and Syed Imtiyaz Hyder.
