By blocking communication, India can’t kill our pro-freedom spirit: Malik

SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik on Saturday said authorities by banning internet, mobile phones services, newspapers, and cable TV channels “cannot eradicate the passion and love of freedom from our hearts and souls”.
In a statement issued here, Malik while reacting against the communication blockade said “India and its Kashmiri stooges should try to ban air, water, and sunlight” on Kashmiris. “By cutting off Kashmir from rest of the world so that the news of Indian oppression doesn’t go out, Mehbooba Mufti-led regime has surpassed the previous records of oppression and tyranny,” Malik who continues to be in police custody since last 9 days said.
“This new oppressive methodology of Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges is uncivilized and unethical. It is a Hitler’s approach. Even at places where armies are at war, flow of news is not stopped but the so-called world’s largest democracy is acting like Hitler and Chengis Khan,” the JKLF Chief said, adding, “This shows how scared are India and its stooges of the popular freedom struggle in Jammu Kashmir.”
Malik said this “tyranny” has exposed the hypocritical approach of Mehbooba Mufti-led government and her party. “The so-called government has crossed every limit of shame. They should know that these oppressive measures cannot deter us from pursuing the path of struggle,” he said.
He appealed people to “keep the atmosphere of brotherhood intact in these hard times and help every needy person”.
