Lashkar pays tribute to 1931 martyrs

Srinagar: Paying tributes to martyrs of July 13, 1931, militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba Tuesday said this day has the significance of marking the beginning of the ongoing freedom struggle.
“On this day the Kashmiris for the first time raised their voice against the atrocities perpetrated by the Dogra rulers on them and more than 30 persons offered supreme sacrifices of their life. The ongoing freedom movement is the continuous process of that struggle and it will continue till the complete demilitarization of Jammu Kashmir,” LeT Chief Mehmood Shah said.
As pert statement issued to CNS, Mehmood Shah said that the year 2016 referendum will prove the final referendum from the people of Kashmir. “The bold Kashmir’s have been fighting against the mighty Indian military. Innocent people are being killed while the international community has been acting as mute spectators. The fight will continue till it is not taken to its logical conclusion,” he said.
While emphasizing the need for unity among pro-freedom parties and people, LeT chief said that Kashmir freedom struggle is at a critical juncture and there is a need to follow the pro-freedom leadership.
