Awami Action Committee sets up camps in Srinagar

Srinagar: Awami Action Committee (AAC)  on Monday set up several relief camps  where food and medical assistance was provided to the people attending  patients in Srinagar hospitals.

In a statement, it said president AAC and chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, who continues to be under house detention, directed for setting up the camps outside SMHS Hospital old City and SKIMS Soura.

 Apart from food and other basic amenities, people particularly the attendants were given free medicine besides arranging blood to the needy at respective camps.

Mirwaiz  directed the workers and activists of ACC to provide full assistance to needy and is himself monitoring the prevailing situation during which 30 youths including a girl were killed so far in government firing following the killing of prominent Hizb Commander Burhan Wani, it added.
