Former director appeals DGP Police for action against burglars

SRINAGAR: Former director Animal Husbandry Dr Mohammad Ali Khan has appealed to the director general police, K Rajendra Kumar, for expediting the investigation into the burglary at his Humhama residence last month.
The family said jewellery, cash, shawls and other goods worth about Rs 50 lakh, including the money Khan and his wife had kept for Hajj, were stolen from the house when the family was away for five months.
The family said it suspected the housekeeper who had been hired to look after the house in their absence.
An FIR has been filed at Humhama Police Station in this regard.
The family has appealed to the DGP to ask the police officer concerned to arrest the culprits and crack the case as they have done in many cases of burglaries.
