`Zero Technique’ for Knee Joint Replacement

Srinagar: A new procedure called `Zero Technique’ has been introduced to replace knee joint.
Giving details about the procedure, senior Orthopaedic consultant and joint replacement surgeon Dr. Ranjit Singh from Fortis Escorts Hospital, said that new Zero Technique is for total knee joint replacement. He said that with this technique, the patient starts walking just after two hours of the surgery. He said that the very next day,  the patient is able to climb the stairs and can even sit with cross legs. “The fifth day, the patient is discharged from the hospital. With Zero Technique, there is negligible bleeding and pain,” he said.  Not only this the total time to do the surgical procedure is only ten minutes.
“Recently Ghulam Mohi ud Din Sheikh, a patient from Srinagar has been successfully operated upon for his both knees and he is totally fine and satisfied,” he added.
