Sham Choudhary convenes grievance redressal camp at Kathua

KATHUA: With an aim to redress the problems of the people living in far-flung areas, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary on Sunday convened a grievance redressal camp at Fish Seed Farm, Kathua.The sarpanchs and panchs from villages Sangwali, Jatwal, Mandera, Mukandpur, Khokhayal, Garniari, Dhaloti and Lakhanpur apprised the Minister with the demands of the people for augmenting water and power supply, replacement of old electric wires and water pipes, hand pumps, extra transformers and motors during summer season for irrigation purposes. The residents of Hatli Morh, Krishna Colony and Chak Partap Singh demanded that more tube wells should be provided so that the problem of drinking water can be redressed in these areas. The villagers also asked for taking up protection works on the left bank of river Ujh to prevent soil erosion.
