JK Budget 2016: Food testing laboratory for Jammu and Kashmir

SRINAGAR: In order to get a standard food testing laboratory at Jammu and Kashmir, Minister for Finance Haseeb Drabu on Monday said that an initial provision of Rs 12 crore would be made to set up each in Srionagar and Jammu.

While presenting the Annual Budget 2016-2017 in the Legislative Assembly, the Minister said, “At present, the State does not have either a standard food testing laboratory or a drug testing laboratory.

To set up one each at Srinagar and Jammu and to provide mobile testing facility for interior parts of the State, I am making an initial provision of Rs 12 crores,” he said.
