NEW DELHI: Central University of Kashmir (CUK) Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir on Tuesday received 10th National Education Award from Honorable Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development and the chief guest, Prof. (Dr.) Ram Shankar Katheria at the 10th National Education Summit and Awards function organised by the Association of India Communication Multimedia and Infrastructure (CMAI) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir received the award for his excellent contribution in education sector. The award was given in the august presence of AICTE Chairman, Prof. Anil D Sahasrabudhe, former Vice-Chancellor, UPTU, Lucknow, Prof. (Dr.) R K Khandal, President (elect) AIU and Vice-Chancellor, GLA University, UP, Prof. (Dr.) D S Chahuhan, Director IT, CBSE, Antriksh Johri and President CMAI Association of India, Prof. N K Goyal.
Prof. Mehraj ud Din while expressing gratitude on receiving the award also spoke on various shades of skill development initiatives taken across the globe, particularly discussing the “China Model.” He underscored the need of this important sector in the progress and development of nations.
CUK fraternity has complimented their Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir for receiving the prestigious award. The varsity staff said that the contribution made by Prof. Mehraj ud Din Mir in the field of higher education in academics and administration set up has been significant.
