Dry spell to continue: MeT

SRINAGAR: The Meteorological department on Wednesday forecasted dry weather over the state for next two days after few spells of rainfall.

“The weather is likely to remain dry over the state on May 26 and 27. However, on May 28, 29 and 30, there is possibility of isolated rainfall at few places in Kashmir divison,” the MeT department said.

“The skies may remain partly cloudy in Srinagar on Thursday,” the department said.

On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Srinagar is expected to hover around 27 degrees celsius, two notches above normal while the minimum temperature is likely to settle at 12 degrees celsius, normal at this point of the year.

The maximum and minimum temperatures on Wednesday were recorded at 24.4 degrees and 11.6 degrees celsius respectively, normal for this season.

The humidity level settled at 49 percent in the evening.
