BUDGAM: The District Development Board Budgam which met here on Monday under the chairmanship of minister for industries and commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, approved the annual plan annual outlay of Rs 168.96 crore for the year 2016-17 for the district. The outlay includes Rs 12.68 crore regular plan, Rs 24.39 crore loan, Rs 120.03 crore central share and Rs11.58 crore state share for centrally sponsored schemes.
Chairing the meeting, the chairman took a detailed review of the decisions taken in the last board meeting and directed for evolving objective mechanism to ensure full implementation of all the decisions in letter and spirit so that the benefits percolate to the grass root levels. The chairman expressed satisfaction over the implementation of previous Capex budget. He impressed upon the administration to show the same determination and dedication during current financial year as well.
The minister emphasized on generating mass awareness regarding centrally sponsored schemes especially in rural and far flung areas so that the virtue of such schemes reach the intended beneficiaries.
DDC Budgam, Mir Altaf Ahmad highlighted the achievements of district administration in the previous fiscal year. The board was informed that against the approved outlay of Rs 168.02 crore, Rs 175.47 crore was available for expenditure out of which 99% expenditure was booked. It was also informed that out of 29 board decisions of previous year, 11 were fully implemented rest are under process of implementation.
Minister for agriculture and production, Gh. Nabi Lone Hanjura, legislators Hakeem Yasin, Agha Syed Rohulla, Javid Mustafa Mir, Ali Mohammad Dar and Saif ud Din Bhat also attended the meeting.
