SRINAGAR: The Regional Meteorological department has on Monday predicted light to moderate rainfall in Srinagar for the next 24 hours.
“Light to moderate rain and thundershowers may occur at many places over Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday,” a MeT official said in a statement.
“The maximum and minimum temperatures in the city are expected to hover around 25 degrees celsius and 14 degrees celsius on Tuesday,” he said.
Further, in its weather outlook for subsequent two days, the MeT department has predicted scattered to fairly widespread rains with thundershowers at many places.
On Monday, Srinagar saw a dip in the maximum temperature since past few days with the mercury settling at 24.9 degrees celsius, normal at this point of the season. The total rainfall received since 8:30 am till 5:30 pm was 0.4 mm while as the relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 53 percent.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.7 degrees celsius, 6 notches above normal while as the minimum temperature was settled at 15.4 degrees celsius, 3 notches above normal.
