JK excise holds Painting competition against drug abuse

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Excise department on Sunday organised a painting competition under the theme “Drug Addiction is an Invitation to Death and Destruction”.
Speaking on the event, organised at Government Girls Higher Secondary School Kothibagh, Deputy Excise Commissioner Kashmir Khurshid Ahmad Shah said, “The aim of such competitions is to aware masses particularly youngsters about the affect of drugs on human health, economy and society.”
“Such competitions are vital wherein students through the art (painting) try to give a message about drug abuse,” he said.
A large number of students from both government as well as private schools participated in the competition throughout the state.
