Baramulla: Huriyat Conference leader and National Front chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan led a protest march in Tangmarg on Friday to mark the death anniversary of Prof. Waheed.
Soon after the Friday prayers, Nayeem along with hundreds of supports and locals took out a protest march. Raising anti India and pro-Azaadi and pro Pakistan slogans, the protestors marched from Jamia Masjid to Martyrs graveyard Chandilora, where Nayeem Khan also addressed the gathering.
Addressing the gathering, Nayeem said that pro-Indian politicians and leaders are the biggest hurdle for freedom movement. “The present generation should be made aware about the martyrs and their contribution for freedom movement. People like Prof Waheed raised voice against Indian atrocities who are illegally occupying the state of Jammu & Kashmir since 1947,” Nayeem said adding “living nations never forget their martyrs. They will be remembered for centuries together.”
Nayeem further said that our freedom movement is not a movement of profiteering. “India has created around 500 martyrs graveyards, every place is a Karbala here and lacs of youth have been killed by India,’ Nayeem said.
Nayeem appealed people to foil all their efforts to establish their offices or unit anywhere in Tangmarg or elsewhere.
