Srinagar: Mercury soared in the summer capital on Saturday with the maximum temperature rising at 31.9 degrees celsius, seven notches above the season’s average.
The MeT department has predicted further dry weather for the next 24 hours.
“Weather will be dry on Sunday. However, there is possibility of thundery development in the afternoon,” a MeT official said.
According to weather department, the maximum and minimum temperature on Sunday are expected to be 31 degrees and 15 degrees celsius respectively.
At 5:30 pm, the humidity level in the city was recorded at 30 percent.
