Srinagar: J&K bagged first place followed by Delhi while Madhya Pradesh secured third place in the 7th Sub Junior National Tong IL Moo Do championship held at Indoor Stadium on Thursday, a statement issued by the organisers said.
The three day long championship is organized byJ&K Tong Il Moo Do Association.
According to the statement “Over 500 martial artists, including several international players, from 20 different states of the country participated in the championship.”
Mohammad Inam Khan was awarded the player of the event.
Around 20 teams, including Jammu and Kashmir, Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Assam, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Haryana, Odisha, Gujarat and Kerala participated in the championship.
Divisional Sports Officer Kashmir Mushtaq Ahmad was the chief guest on the prize distribution ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion Ahmad said “I am really happy to see such events being organised by the youth of Kashmir. Such events will give lot of exposure to our youth to perform.”
General secretary of JKTMA Arshad Aziz said. “It is a great accomplishment for JKTMA that we were able to successfully organise the championship.
The championship was sponsored by J&K Bank and J&K Police.
