SRINAGAR: The government said on Wednesday that it is building infrastructure for providing electricity round the clock to the consumers in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to an official handout issued here, the minister of state for Power Development Department (PDD), Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi, held a meeting with a delegation of J&K Technical Employees Federation (JKTEF).
Commissioner Secretary to government for PDD Dheeraj Gupta, director Finance PDD K K Gupta, and other officials of the department attended the meeting.
“JKTEF raised various issues with the MoS including disparity in pay scales of ITI Diploma Technicians in PDD. And the MoS assured the delegation that their genuine demands will be addressed soon. He also directed the officials of PDD to prepare a comprehensive report in this regard, the handout said.
Andrabi, it said, stated that the ruling PDP-BJP coalition was working on “effective power generation, better transmission, and distribution systems so that round the clock electricity supply is ensured to the consumers”.
He also stressed the officials of PDD and delegation of JKTEF to work with dedication and zeal for this initiative.
