Yateem Foundation organises awareness programme

BARAMULLA: Jammu and Kashmir Yateem Foundation (JKYT) organized an awareness programme here on Sunday.
The programme, titled ‘Responsibilities of people and police towards orphans, widows, and destitute’, was held at Government Degree College Baramulla.
Dozens of policemen and civilians participated in the event.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Baramulla, Imtiyaz Hussain Mir, was chief guest on the occasion.
Chairman JKYF, Mohammed Rafiq Lone, highlighted the work and welfare schemes of the foundation.
He urged upon the participants to join hands with the organisation for development of the society.
“I appeal all policemen and people to join hands with our social organisation because poor, orphans, widows, and destitute are also part of our society and we have a responsibility to look after them,” he said.
He said the aim of organising the programme was to involve more people in the mission of working for the needy and poor section of the society.
