SRINAGAR: Muslim Deeni Mahaz on Sunday said it has no objections if Pandits were rehabilitated in their own ancestral places, but “we won’t allow any separate colonies”.
In a statement issued to press, he general secretary of the party, Mohammad Maqbool Bhat, said, “We are not against the return of Kashmiri Pandits, but we want them to return to their respective places in the Valley.”
“They are state subjects and there is no objection, but it is a deep-rooted conspiracy of RSS and BJP to settle the non-resident Kashmiris in the state under the garb of these separate colonies for Pandits,” he added. Bhat said the “Israeli-type settlements” in J&K won’t be tolerated.
“Delhi is hell bent to settle refugees and non-state subjects,” he said. Reacting to the reports about identification of land in Baramulla, Bhat said, “Contrary to this, PDP is continuously misleading people.”
