Lal Chowk traders seek restoration of crumbling Palladium cinema

SRINAGAR: Traders Association Lal Chowk has asked the government to take necessary steps to  restore the crumbling Palladium Cinema that according to them  is  constant threat to the nearby  businesses, besides its  renovation could add charm of this city centre.
The traders said this already dilapidated cinema is a very bad conditions post September 2014 floods, that needs attention as falling derby from this cinema is common and a major mishap in shape of its collapse could be averted if timely action is taken to restore it.
The association feels that the building if restored could add to the beauty of the area which attract tourists from all over the place. It also  believes that the building if modified can generate revenues, since it is situated in the city centre.
