KISHTWAR: Seeking public cooperation to fulfill the government’s endeavor to reach out to the neglected and ignored areas of the state, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Saturday asserted that the present dispensation was committed for equitable development and economic growth.
As per a statement issued here, PDP’s MLC Firdous Tak during his extensive tour of Dacchan Tehsil addressed a series of public meetings at Janakpur, Gum, Resri, Suid, Chicha and Sirchi in Kishtwar district.
The legislator stressed on extending basic amenities like road connectivity, electricity, drinking water, healthcare and education to all the people of the state with special focus on the rural and backward areas. He assured the people that their issues and problems will be raised during the upcoming budget session of the state legislature.
He said government has initiated various developmental projects for better economic, social and education development of the people. “The development of rural belts of the state shall continue to remain a top priority for the government and administration must focus attention towards these areas.”
He said Mehbooba Mufti-led government is committed for improving and upgrading the existing infrastructure with regard to roads, health infrastructure, water supply, educational uplifting, jobs and power projects.
Tak said a huge network of educational and health institutions have been woven round the state especially in far-flung areas so that the people of these areas can reap the benefits of development in a better way.
“With regard to tourist infrastructure, the government is committed to utilise the potential of areas like Marwah, Warwan , Dacchan and Padder. A comprehensive plan is being formulated for created and upgraditing tourist infrastructure in these areas,” he assured.
