No demilitrisation, no peace: Javaid Mir

Srinagar: Senior Huriyat leader and Chairman of JKLF (H) Javaid Ahmad Mir has said that without carrying demilitarization of Kashmir, an atmosphere of peace could not be created in the region. Mir was addressing a gathering at Sajadia Masjid in Chattabal area.
Mir said that the probes ordered into the killings of innocent people have always proved to be a misleading tactics for the common masses and an opening for the guilty to go scot-free.
“Right from 1947, India has always tried to divert the attention of world community viz-a-viz the resolution of Kashmir issue,” Mir said adding that people of Kashmir were always exploited at the hands of power hungry people.
Mir alleged that PDD-BJP coalition government is trying to change the disputed status of Kashmir by weakening the economy of Kashmir.
Terming the resolution of all issues including Kashmir as of basic importance, Mir said participation of Kashmiris in any dialogue on Kashmir was a necessity for these talks to bear fruit and expressed hope that the political leadership of the two countries would take clear and non-ambiguous stand over it so that decks are cleared for the resolution of all issues including Kashmir.
Urging people to follow the teachings of Quran and Sunnah, Mir said this was the only way out for the Muslim Ummah to rid itself of the problems it was facing.
