SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson, Syedah Aasiyeh Andrabi, on Sunday appealed Kashmiri youth to fail “the sinister policies” of pro-India politicians by rejecting their “deceptive political gimmickry”.
She was referring to the comments made by chief minister Mehbooba Mufti during meetings with some youth wherein she had admired the perseverance of Kashmiri to go on despite the cycle of violence.
“Pro-India politicians like Mehbooba Mufti have no interest in securing the future of our youth. They adopt these sinister policies and political gimmicks only to secure India’s future in Kashmir. All they do is to preside over the countless massacres of innocent Kashmiri people,” she said in a statement issued here.
“Mehbooba is a daughter of a person (Mufti Sayeed), who, as home minister of India in ‘90s, presided over hundreds of massacres and genocide of Kashmiri youth. Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is similar to any other pro-India party. The only difference is that this party is more deceptive and cunning in its approach,” she added.
Andrabi said that everything Mehbooba told the youth during these meetings was “nothing but political gimmickry”.
“My youth, my children must understand this cunningness and deception. This all is meant to prolong India’s control in Kashmir,” she said.
She said every policy or scheme launched by India and the state government was only meant “to prolong the occupation of this place”.
“Kashmir has no proximity with India. The only road that connects Kashmir with India (Srinagar-Jammu highway) is in shambles. That is the reason why India has constructed the railway link to Kashmir through many tunnels. The aim is to flood Kashmir with lakhs of Indians. India wants to remain connected to Kashmir at all costs,” she added.
She said New Delhi wanted to keep Kashmiri youth always dependent.
“AIIMS is being established here to render our doctors jobless as most of the doctors in that facility will come from outside. They have kept us like beggars, our educated youth are performing menial jobs, and we don’t have industries of our own. Each and everything is controlled by India,” she said.
