SRINAGAR: In connection with its 26th anniversary, Muslim League Jammu Kashmir on Sunday organised a convention which was participated by central and district members besides hundreds of pro-freedom people.
Those who addressed on the occasion included League’s acting chairman Muhammad Yousuf Mir, general secretary Muhammad Rafiq Ganaie, chief organiser Abdul Ahad Parra, Farooq Ahmad Gotapori, Muhammad Akram Najar, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Abdul Rashid Dar, and Malik Ghulam Nabi while as spokesperson Sajad Ayoubi organised the event.
Muhammad Yosuf Mir in his presidential address highlighted the performance of Muslim League under the leadership of its chairman Masarat Alam Bhat.
“Due to his advocacy of the Two-Nation theory and pro-Pakistan stand, our leader is continuously kept behind bars while as judiciary has time and again ordered his release,” Mir said.
He also condemned the authorities’ “vengeful” attitude against the League leaders and activists who are subjected to frequent arrests and targetted under the black laws.
