BARAMULLA: Idara Tahqeeqat-e-Imam Ahmad Raza, Baramulla, on Saturday organised an annual naat competition in which 31 students from different educational institutions of the district participated. The organisation also launched its website on the occasion.
Senior advocate, Shahid Ali Shah, who was the chief guest, appreciated the Idara’s work and also launched the website www.paigameraza.org. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Rafi-ud-Din Makhdoomi from Kashmir University said, “We are living in the 21st century where technology is playing an important role.” Leaflets mentioning the “evils” of J&K WAFK board were also distributed.
Idara’s chairman Khursheed Ahmad Shah said the organisation has published one lakh twenty thousand books so far which have been distributed in various schools, colleges, and universities. “Idara is also active in many social and religious activities,” he said. The top three positions were bagged by Abid Hussain Teli of Seikhpora Kreeri, Mehnoor Jan of Kanispora, and Abid Ahmad Sofi of Watergam Wagoora, respectively. The winners and other participants were also awarded.
