MeT predicts dry and warm Monday

SRINAGAR: The regional meteorological department has on Sunday a predicted a dry weather in Jammu and Kashmir for Monday.

“Dry weather will prevail over the state for next 24 hours,” a MeT official said, adding, “There might be isolated rains and thundershowers in some areas of the state in next two days.”

Meanwhile, warm and dry weather prevailed over summer capital as the
Mercury touched 28.7 degrees celsius, five notches above from normal at this point of the season.

The relative humidity of the Srinagar city recoded at 5:30 pm was 35 percent.

Similarly, in Jammu humidity level was recorded at 24 percent whereas the maximum temperature settled at 39.5 degrees celsius, two notches above normal.

On Monday, the maximum and minimum temperatures in Srinagar are expected to be 27 and 11 degrees celsius respectively while as in Jammu, the temperatures would hover around 38 and 24 degrees celsius respectively.
