Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani, in a statement issued here, said the government’s plan is a “die or resist” like situation for the people of Kashmir.
“Any carelessness on this sensitive occasion will prove a final nail in the coffin of our existence, identity and freedom struggle and we will become strangers in our own land,” he said.
In a statement issued here, Chairman JKLF Muhammad Yasin Malik said, “Establishing the residential colonies for Indian forces in Kashmir is an RSS-led conspiracy to change the Muslim character of Jammu Kashmir and its demography”.

“Such Israeli type settlements will be opposed tooth and nail,” he said, adding that Mehbooba Mufti-led government has surrendered itself before BJP.
“If Mehbooba Mufti lets BJP-RSS fulfill their agendas in J&K, it would be a political death for her and end of PDP in the state,” Shah said.
Chairman National Front Nayeem Ahmad Khan, in a statement issued here, said the move is “part of a wicked plan of India”.
“Sainik colonies are sure to be used for settling the non-state subjects and create communal disturbance in Kashmir. Such conspiracies will be opposed tooth,” he said.

Jamat-e-Islami Jammu Kashmir, in a statement issued here, said the allotment of land for Sainik colony is part of a well-designed plan to erode the special status of J&K under Article 370. “It is also an attempt to harm the disputed character of Jammu and Kashmir under the UN resolutions. Such move is unacceptable,” it said.
