SRINAGAR: The Jammu & Kashmir Yateem Foundation laid a foundation of ‘Baitul Hilal’- a Rs 15 Crore boarding-cum-hostel project at Jawahar Nagar on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Justice (retd) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani expressed satisfaction over initiating the reconstruction project for inmates of Baitul Hilal. He exhorted upon the people to inculcate selflessness and sincerity of purpose to work for the welfare and rehabilitation of destitute.
Noted poet and social activist Zareef Ahmad Zareef called upon the people to fulfill social responsibility by extending support to Baitul Hilal reconstruction project.
Imam and Khateeb of Al-Farooq Masjid Molvi Abdul Gani Shah described the Baitul Hilal as the best among all homes. He appealed people to come forward to support this nobel project.
President Welfare Committee Jawahar Nagar Nazir Ahmad recalled great work done by J&K Yateem Foundation during September 2014 floods. He assured all possible support to accomplish the Baitul Hilal Project.
Among others Molvi Tariq Jameel, prominent Medico and social activist Dr Mir Mohammad Maqbool, Dr Ahmad Hussain Gazi, Chairman JKYF Mohammad Rafiq Lone, volunteers associated with the foundation, were present on the occasion.
