JKBOA takes exception to public sector bashing by some politicians

Srinagar: Jammu & Kashmir Bank Officers’ Association (JKBOA) has taken strong exception to the “role of some politicians in public sector bashing” and said that it will counter the propaganda unleashed “by these paid agents”.
In a statement issued here on Friday, president JKBOA Reyaz Ahmad has said: “These politicians are proving themselves working as paid agents of capitalists and their criticism of public sector including state owned banks is intended to deflect the focus from loot of public wealth.”
He said the loot has been committed in connivance with some “black sheep in top management and politicians”.
“The JKBOA will be undertaking a campaign to counter the propaganda unleashed by these paid agents to sensitize the public at large about truth of bad debts ailing the banking industry,” Ahmad added in the statement.
He said the campaign will start with convening of district level conferences and culminate with a state level conference, wherein causes and remedies will be discussed.
