SRINAGAR: Darul-Uloom Raheemiyyah on Saturday organised a conference on the contributions of Hazrat Imam-e-Aazam Abu –Hanifa at Convocation Hall of Kashmir University in Srinagar.
Darul-Uloom’s patron Maulana Rahmatullah Mir Qasmi, in his inaugural address, showcased the contributions, life and status of Imam Hanifa.
“Imam Hanifa (RA) has performed Hajj 55 times in his life span of just 70 years. He was not only a businessman, a scholar but a philanthropist and used to donate regularly to the downtrodden,” Qasmi said.
“Not only this, Imam Hanifa used to recite whole Quran every night,” he said.
Darul Uloom Rahimiyyah’s Chief Mufti and Shaikh-ul-Hadees Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi, Madrasa Muradabad (Shaahi)’s Patron and Shaikh-ul-Hadees Mufti Salman Mansoorpori, Darul Uloom Deoband’s Teacher Takhassus (specialization) in Hadees Maulana Abdullah Ma’roofi, Maulana Dr. Abdul Rahman from England, Darul Uloom Deoband’s Teacher Mufti Raashid, Madrasa Muradabad (Shaahi)’s Chief Mufti Shabir Ahmad and Darul Uloom Deoband vice chancellor Mufti Abul Qasim were among others who spoke on the occasion.
