Baramulla: President all Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and Chairman Teachers Forum Kashmir Abdul Qayoom Wani on Thursday said that all the issues between Teachers Forum and Government of Jammu and Kashmir, have been sorted out and that teachers have came out victorious.
He was talking to reporters in Dak Bungalow, Baramulla after one day delegation conference of teachers. Wani said that there was a controversy between the government and teachers forum on some issues when administration announced to conduct screening test of RET teachers. “This was disrespectful for our teachers who are working for the promotion of education at ground level,” Wani said. “It was after our intervention that the government has gone to back foot and dropped the idea,” he claimed.
Wani said that second issue was super 50 coaching classes. Wani said that in the name of Super 50, the education department tied to play havoc with the career of thousands of students. He said that government banned all the tuition classes in the name of super 50, but our teachers provided education to the students free of cost even in far flung areas.
Launching an attack on Director Education, Wani alleged that the officer had hired some people to run fake facebook accounts to praise him. “Come and see me live facebook. My teachers are my facebook. They have assembled here for me in spite of a holiday today,” he said. “The Director School Education and concerned minister have tried to disturb the teachers through several issues. But I want to inform them that Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum is backbone of education in Jammu and Kashmir and we will allow anyone to disturb the education system and make students suffer,” Wani said.
