Srinagar: Awami Itehad Party on Thursday announced it will hold peaceful state-wide protest marches at district headquarters against the anti-people and anti-Kashmiri policies of PDP-BJP government.
In a statement, MLA Er Rasheed said the campaign will start from Baramulla on May 10 followed by May 12 in Kulgam and will then other districts
“It was unanimously decided in the general council meeting here that the anti-Kashmiri agenda of government needs to be exposed and AIP will discharge its duties to expose the duel face. While people of the state are expecting their political aspirations to be addressed and their day to day problems to be resolved, coalition government seems to be interested in implementing the agenda of Sang Parivar and demoralising Kashmiris at all fronts,” he said.
“Masses in India need to be told that people of J&K believe in communal harmony and reject regionalism but BJP has been forcing Mehbooba Mufti to shameless surrenders to every issue including killings in Handwara and elsewhere, NEET issue, settlement of migrant townships, discriminating with Kashmiris and providing security to Kashmiris living or studying outside state. Let RSS and its extension wings understand that J&K will never be allowed to become a hub of RSS’s anti-Muslim and communal activities,” he added.
