Srinagar: Srinagar woke up to a cool cloudy morning on Tuesday with minimum temperature settling at 9.9 degrees celsius.
The MeT department has predicted a cloudy sky for the day with occasional light rains or thundershowers in the afternoon or evening.
Similarly, light rains and thundershowers are also expected in Jammu region. Leh, however, will see partly cloudy skies becoming generally cloudy and the temperature is expected to be dry.
There will also be a dip by few notches in maximum and minimum temperatures over plains and hills of J&K during next 2-3 days.
On Tuesday, maximum tenperature in Srinagar and Jammu are expected to be 22 degrees and 38 degrees celsius respectively while as the minimum will be settled around 12 and 26 degrees celsius respectively.
On Monday, maximum temperature in Srinagar was 28.5 degrees celsius while as the temperature in Jammu rose to 42.4 degrees celsius.
