SRINAGAR: ‘For Friends Islamic Centre’ (FFIC) on Sunday continued its writing competition titled ‘Seerat Quiz’ in Srinagar, Chrar-i-Sharief, Sopore, and Islamabad.
The programme which is based on three stages held its first competition in Srinagar’s Girl’s Higher Secondary School Kothibagh, SIM High School Charar-i-Sharief, Darul-Uloom Sopore, and Darul-Uloom Jamia Imam Kabir Islamabad.
“More than 600 students participated in first session of the exam which was based on ‘Seerat-e-Rasool-e-Arabi (SAW)’ and it comprised of 100 questions. The exam was meant for only the students up to 15 years of age,” the official handout said.
The date and venue for third stage will be announced very soon. Apart from organisers of ‘For Friends Islamic Centre’, Sheikh-ul-Hadith and president Dar-ul-Uloom Sopore, Mufti Moulana Muzaffar Hussain Qasmi, Mufti Muhammad Sultan Qasmi of Siraj-ul-Uloom, Mufti Umar Ali Ilaahi, and Muneer Ahmad Pal, were also present on the occasion.
“The competition is aimed at inculcating the Islamic teachings and Seerat among the students,” Mufti Muzaffar Qasmi said.
