JAMMU: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari has directed the Revenue Department functionaries to ensure effective implementation of Public Service Guarantee Act (PSGA). He also called for strictly adhering to the timeline for submission of the requisite information under PSGA.
The Minister instructed the concerned higher ups in the Departments under his charge to issue directions to all the Deputy Commissioners to formulate quarterly targets for the activities covered under PSGA and submit progress report to the government towards the end of every month.
“It has been observed that the monthly progress reports on account of implementation of PSGA are not being submitted by the subordinate offices under Revenue Department to the government within the stipulated time”, the Minister said and added consequently, the consolidation and analysis of such reports gets delayed which, in turn, adversely affects the effective implementation of the Act.
Reviewing the implementation of PSGA in a meeting here today, the Revenue Minister exhorted upon the officers to evolve a system in the department, where a common man will not suffer for want of certain services envisaged under PSGA.
