Srinagar: The government will continue to impose curfew-like restrictions in parts of north Kashmir and Srinagar district on Thursday in view of a strike called given by the azadi camp against the killing of four civilians.
A government official said restrictions would be imposed in Kupwara, Bandipora and Baramulla district and areas falling under six police stations of Srinagar, Rainawari, Nowhatta, MR Gunj, Khanyar, Safa Kadal and Maisuma.
Authorities have also snapped internet services in North Kashmir.
Meanwhile, pro-freedom groups led by Syed Ali Geelani and Yasin Malik have called for a complete shutdown across the Valley on Thursday. The duo has appealed people to hold protest demonstrations after Friday prayers. Mirwaiz Umer Farooq is also supposed to lead a protest rally from Nowhatta, Srinagar, after Friday congregational prayers.
