Baramulla: On Tuesday afternoon, when news about the Handwara firing spread in the town, a journalist Zahoor Ahmad Bhat hurriedly rushed to sub-district hospital Handwara to check the details about the casualties. He was scribbling names of the injured on his writing pad when someone informed him that two bodies were lying near the operation theatre. Zahoor entered the theatre to see two shrouded bodies. When a hospital attendant lifted the shroud on one of the bodies, Zahoor was shocked to see his younger brother, Nayeem Ahmad Bhat’s body. “I was shocked to see my brother lying dead. Involuntarily, I wrote his name in my writing pad,” Bhat who works for a Srinagar based news gathering agency told Kashmir Reader.
