Ransacking of martyrs graveyard: Indian Army scared of even martyrs, says Aasiya Andrabi

SRINAGAR: Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chairperson, Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, on Friday condemned the ransacking of martyrs’ graveyard at Kareemabad in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district saying, “Indian Army is scared of even our martyrs.”

In a statement issued here, Aasiya said, “The vandalisation of the martyrs’ graveyard at Kareemabad by Indian army shows their true face. It also shows the psychological injury these occupational forces face by the love and affection our mujahideen and martyrs receive from the people.”

She said Indian Army “is afraid of these martyrs and wants to erase every symbol of these brave-hearts”.
Aasiya said the participation of large number of people in martyrs’ funerals “is a slap on the face of India, its armed forces, and local stooges”.

“After the funeral of Abu Qasim, they (Indian Army) stopped handing the bodies of guest mujahideen to people. Now, they stooped to a new low by ransacking graveyards. Such actions won’t deter us from taking the resistance movement to its logical conclusion,” the DeM chief said.
