Srinagar: Salal Power Station has generated 3591.21 MU of power during financial year 2015-16, which is the highest since commissioning of the project, a statement issued on Friday by its Deputy Manager (PR), RK Gupta said.
“Power Station generated 3591.21 MU of power against the target of 3210 MU set by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India,” said the statement.
The record generation, as per Gupta, could be achieved owing to trash management, water availability/regulation, timely execution of annual maintenance of machines and attending to petty faults promptly resulting in continues availability of machines for generation.
AG Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station congratulated the employees for achieving the record generation. “This is the team work which has yielded results as each and every employee of the power station has equally contributed, directly or indirectly, by performing the tasks assigned to them to achieve the desired results,” he said.
