KU holds condolence meet

SRINAGAR: Kashmir University on Wednesday held a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Ghulam Jeelani Wani, Section Officer at the varsity, who passed away on Tuesday.
According to a statement, the proceedings of the condolence meeting, chaired by Vice-Chancellor Prof Khurshid Iqbal Andrabi, were conducted by the Kashmir University Ministerial Staff Association (KUMSA) members. Prof Andrabi offered ‘Fateha’ prayers for the departed soul and recalled his association with Jeelani, also former president of KUMSA.
Dr M S Sumbli, Special Secretary to Vice-Chancellor, Rashid-ud-Din Mir, president KUMSA, Farooq Ahmad, Vice president KUMSA; Dr Altaf Ahmad, Joint Registrar, and Dr Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, executive member of KUTA also spoke on the occasion and recalled the contributions of Jeelani. Scores of KUMSA, KUOA and KUTA members participated in the condolence meeting.
